Hi lovelies!
It’s been awhile since I posted anything, so thought I better get a move on and post something.
There seems to be a theme starting with my baking for others, mainly that everyone seems to like Nutella!
To be a helpful girlfriend I made these for a my other halves work. They are an amalgamation of a couple of recipes so I will call them my Toasted Hazelnut Lava Cupcakes.
The main basis of this recipe comes from one of my favourite books The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. I fell in love with the Hummingbird brand from the moment I saw their first cookbook and since have built up a collection of books, one tote bag and visited 2 of their London shops. My love continues…
The ‘lava’ part of my cake came from a recipe I found on Cleobuttra’s blog.
You can find the recipe for the cakes and icing here.
As well as Cleobuttra’s lava filling here.
To finish off my cupcakes I toasted some skinned hazelnuts and a dusting of cocoa powder (I use Bourneville cocoa powder).
A really easy recipe, with a little surprise, super chocolatey and super hazel-nutty.
Please give it a go and I’d love to see anything you make, check out my ‘About’ page to get in touch.
