The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town, LDN

Hello friends!

Lets talk a little bit more about the food I consumed on a recent weekend away in London.

London is the perfect place for a foodie, as it has so much to offer with food markets, stalls, restaurants, concept bars, cultural supermarkets and more!

One of the concepts I am so interested in is Speak Easy’s.

Of course most of you will know the concept of a Speak Easy, don’t let on that you’ve been to one and keep it all hush hush. So in the true spirit of it all, I wont tell you where it is or show you pictures of the interior (although you can pretty much find it all online regardless), bar one picture below of a cat portrait, because why not?

I did go here with my other half, but I did not take any pictures of  his food as I was having a full on relationship with mine… just saying.

A good flat white started me off…

… which quickly escalated into a cocktail.

Aloe, Is It Me You’re Looking For was a very tasty  cocktail, with mango, lime and aloe vera, which gave this drink an odd but refreshing quality, good for a Sunday morning brunch.

Lets try something I haven’t had before shall we? How about Fried Chicken & Waffles?

How about, can I eat this everyday please? Boneless Buttermilk fried chicken, fluffy sage waffles, thick and rich gravy with a zing of grilled lemon (with a few pea shoots on the side). In the words of Craig Revel Horwood, AH-MAY-ZING!

The perfect combo ever created. More please.

You’ve got to check this place out for a unique vibe and tasty food and drinks. The service was really nice and price was reasonable, would definitely go back here.
